They invite us to behold the Lord’s love and sacrifice and to offer our own suffering in Christ.
FIRST MYSTERY

We contemplate Jesus in the deep anguish of Gethsemane, remaining obedient to the will of the Father.
SECOND MYSTERY
The Scourging at the Pillar

We contemplate Jesus silently accepting cruel scourging and suffering for our salvation.
THIRD MYSTERY
The Crowning with Thorns
Matthew 27:27–31
We contemplate the humility and patience of Jesus, who did not withdraw his love amid mockery and humiliation.
FOURTH MYSTERY
The Carrying of the Cross
Luke 23:26–32
We contemplate Jesus carrying the Cross toward Golgotha and walking the path of salvation to the end.

The Crucifixion and Death

We contemplate the love of Jesus, who gives himself completely on the Cross for our salvation.
