LUMINOUS MYSTERIES
The Luminous Mysteries contemplate the decisive moments in which the Kingdom of God is revealed through the public ministry of Jesus.
Added to the Rosary by Saint John Paul II in 2002, they lead us to contemplate the light of Christ and his Gospel.
FIRST MYSTERY
The Baptism of Jesus in the Jordan
We contemplate Jesus being baptized in the Jordan and revealed by the Father as his beloved Son.
SECOND MYSTERY
The Wedding at Cana
We contemplate the first miracle, in which Jesus changes water into wine through Mary’s intercession and reveals his glory.
THIRD MYSTERY
The Proclamation of the Kingdom of God
We contemplate the public ministry of Jesus as he proclaims the Gospel and calls people to conversion and the Kingdom of God.
FOURTH MYSTERY
The Transfiguration
We contemplate Jesus being transfigured in glory before his disciples and revealing his divinity.
FIFTH MYSTERY
The Institution of the Eucharist
We contemplate Jesus instituting the Eucharist at the Last Supper and leaving us the sacrament of his love.
